Batch work

Although it is hard to call doing what you love “work”, I find that creating batches of hats an efficient way to work. I started creating groups of sweaters that had colors and textures that worked well together. Then, as a style comes up for production, I grab one of these sweater groups and cut multiple pattern pieces from that group- knowing that within that set I’ll be able to find a number of workable combinations. Here is a “batch” of cakes. If you look closely you will see certain colors repeated in this batch.

Cake Style Hat in Red and Green

This festive Cake style hat will even get Santa’s attention. A lower band and a top in two shades of pine green surround a ribbed cable knit band of holly red. A lining of black and white fleece will make this one toasty and comfortable hat. The hats 23″ circumference and 8″ depth make for a very accommodating fit with plenty of versatility.

Cake Style Hat in Pink, Beige, Green and Gold

This fun Cake style hat has lower band of beige, pink and orange argyle pattern,  a ribbed multi toned green band rests above and the cake is topped with a lovely gold wool knit. A lining of multicolored fleece will make this one toasty and comfortable hat. The hats 22″ circumference and 8″ depth make for a very accommodating fit with plenty of versatility.
