Old Man Winter is keeping his distance from us here in north Texas. It is in the 80’s today. I really do like some cold weather- and would not mind a bit of snow now and then. The Randy Brodnax and Friends Art Sale at the Sons of Hermann Hall is a long time favorite shopping venue for many folks in the Dallas, TX area. If you have not been there I encourage you to make the trip to the historic Deep Ellum venue. The art will be great, the food (gumbo) and drink amazing, and there will be acoustic music going on just about the entire time.
I work in batches in my studio. Once I have worked on a design- sketching, prototyping, making a rough pattern, tweaking the pattern, etc- then it is time for a small batch. Making one of something doesn’t make sense except in those early phases of design. Here is a small batch of my “5 Petal” small bags in the process of being constructed.
